Famous Pacific Shipping (NZ) is enhancing its intra-Pacifi c Islands freight connections with the launch of a regular direct oceanfreight consolidation service to a range of Micronesian destinations, as well as Guam and the Marshall Islands.
Now the New Zealand member of the FPS Group has started a new FAK service from Auckland to the Port of Honolulu, Hawaii which will allow customers to tranship all Hawaii-bound cargo via Auckland. Marcus Goldsworthy, FPS (NZ) managing director says: “This service will be more cost-effective than alternate services via the US West Coast.”
The first sailing of the new monthly service from Auckland was in early July and FPS NZ says that the transit time is around nine days. Dangerous goods can be handled on application. On forwarding services from Honolulu to other Hawaiian islands of Maui, Kona, Mokokia and Kauhai are also available.
DESTINATION AGENT In Honolulu, FPS (NZ) has appointed Triple B Forwarders as its destination agent.
